With the DTF Designer, you put your gang sheet together directly in your browser, with no graphics software needed. You upload your designs, arrange them on the sheet, see straight away whether the quality is right, and put the finished sheet in your basket. The Designer is available for DTF transfer, Blockout DTF transfer and UV DTF.
The features at a glance
On the left you will find your tools: designs, text and shapes. Your sheet is in the middle, and on the right you set the size, rotation and layers of the selected design.
- Upload designs: Simply drag your files onto the canvas, several at once if you like.
- Set the quantity: Enter how many times you need each design. With ‘Anordnen’ (arrange), the Designer distributes all designs across the sheet.
- Design freely: You move, rotate and copy your designs, enter the size in centimetres and bring them to the front or send them to the back.
- Sheet length: The sheet grows with your designs. The dashed cutting edge shows you where it ends.
- Shapes: Shapes are vectors and stay sharp at any size.
- Preview on your substrate: Set the colour of your textile or substrate as the background and see how the designs look on it. This colour is not printed.
- Several sheets: Within one project, you can add further sheets and give them names.
- Finishing touches: Layers, zoom, and undo and redo help you build your sheet.
Remove the background
If your design has a single-colour background, click ‘Freistellen’ (remove background) on the file. The preview shows you the result straight away and how much sheet area you save. Use ‘Toleranz’ (tolerance) and ‘Kante’ (edge) to fine-tune until the edge is clean. With ‘Nur außen’ (outside only), enclosed areas are kept, for example the inside of an O.
Keep an eye on quality
For every design, the Designer shows you how good the resolution is at the chosen size: green for very good, yellow for sufficient, red for too low. If it is red, the design is marked with a warning triangle, and you then make it smaller or use a larger file. The Designer also warns you if designs are too close together and offers to move them apart.
Text
There are four templates for lettering: heading, name with outline, large number (for example for jerseys) and subline. You set the font, outline, shadow and curve on the right as soon as the text is selected. When you apply it, the text is converted to outlines, so you do not need to install any fonts.
Files you can upload
The Designer accepts PNG, JPG, WEBP and PDF. Designs with a transparent background work best: anything transparent is not printed.
- Create your designs in sufficient resolution, ideally 300 dpi at the final print size.
- Lines and fine details should be at least 0.4 mm thick.
- Colour gradients within the design are fine. It is better to avoid gradients that fade out into transparency, because there is white behind every colour.
Save and reorder later
The Designer continuously saves your draft in your browser. To keep a project permanently, save it under ‘Projekte’ (projects) with its own name, for example ‘Club shirt back’. You need a customer account for this. Saved projects are kept for one year and are available on every device on which you are logged in.
This way, you can reopen the same designs for a repeat order and do not have to rebuild your sheet every time. If you are not logged in yet, log in to the shop and open the Designer again. Your draft is kept.
Good to know before you order
- We print exactly what you create in the Designer. Neither the Designer nor we edit your graphics.
- Orders placed via the Designer cannot be cancelled or claimed under a complaint, because the software points out errors and problems to you beforehand.
- Designer orders do not include a Pro File Check and have no express option.
- Check the dimensions, quantity, arrangement and resolution yourself before you order.
