DTF Transfer Blockout EXPRESS - Custom Length
€19.40 per linear metre
Available, delivery time: 1-2 working days
A single gang sheet can be up to 3 m long. Please split longer designs - the linear metres of all your files count together for the volume price anyway.
Colour-accurate printing instead of guessing on screen
Your screen glows, a printed textile does not. A monitor mixes colour from light, whereas a DTF transfer mixes it from pigment that sits on the fabric. That is exactly why a shade on the shirt almost always looks different from how it looked on the computer. What you get here is therefore not a screen sample or a paper sample, but a real printed DTF transfer.
The set consists of 10 colour charts in A3 format. Spread across these charts are 964 colour swatches, each labelled with its CMYK value underneath. This means colour matching happens before production, including any adjustments, rather than as a correction after the first proof.
How to get from the colour swatch to your print file
On the pressed chart, pick out the swatch that matches the shade you want, note the CMYK value underneath and enter it in your print file. Set up the file in the CMYK colour space with ISO Coated v2 (ECI) as the colour profile, as this is our standard for DTF transfers. That way, the result is clear before your first file even reaches us, and a repeat order ends up in the same shade as the first one. You will find everything about setting up files in the FAQ.
- Press the charts onto black textiles
- Judge the shade on the pressed print, not on screen
- Note the CMYK value on the swatch
- Enter this value in your own file
- Keep the chart for later approvals and repeat orders
Why the background should be black
Please always press the colour charts onto black textiles so that you get the best colour perception. Every DTF transfer has a white base layer that separates the design from the fabric. Against a black background, the opacity shows in full and the colour impression stays true, because no light fabric shows through and lifts the shade. We explain how the individual layers are built up under DTF transfers.
Who benefits from the set
The chart helps wherever a shade has to be fixed reliably: for company and club colours, for runs that are reordered again and again over months, and for customers who expect to approve the colours before printing. Instead of a vague description, you then have a colour swatch with a clear CMYK value on the table.
You will receive 10 colour charts in A3, printed as DTF transfers.
Colour charts are excluded from complaints. This does not apply to defective colour charts.
Sample Pack All in One: test DTF, UV DTF and sublimation before you order
How a print feels, how sharp its edges are and how well it covers only becomes clear on the finished print, not on screen. That is why the Sample Pack contains test prints of our products and other prints, so you can feel the differences for yourself before you place your first larger order.
These samples are included
- Test print with DTF standard adhesive
- Test print with DTF Blockout adhesive
- Mini colour chart as a sample
- UV DTF standard print as a sample
- UV DTF print in matt as a sample
- UV DTF print in transparent as a sample
- Sublimation print as a sample
Standard and Blockout in direct comparison
For cotton and cotton blends, the DTF standard adhesive is intended. The Blockout adhesive was developed for dyed polyester textiles and holds back dyes that could otherwise migrate into light areas of the design under the heat of the press. The surest way to tell which adhesive suits which textile is to lay both samples side by side and feel them yourself. You will find the details under DTF transfers.
UV DTF in three finishes
The pack contains three versions of UV DTF: Standard is opaque and glossy, Matt has a more understated surface, and Transparent has no white print, so the surface shows through the design. The quickest way to find out which one suits your material is to place the samples on the surface you want to decorate, i.e. on the glass, metal or plastic. More details under UV DTF transfers.
How to go about testing
First, go through the samples by hand and pay attention to how they feel and how the edges look. In the second step, press one of them with your own press onto a textile that you sell yourself. The test piece then goes in the wash, following the care instructions of the textile and ideally over several cycles, so that you can judge colour fastness and edges after washing too. You will find everything about application in the FAQ.
Always do the test on an offcut and never on a finished item from a customer order.

What the Blockout adhesive does
The special adhesive that reduces the risk of resublimation from polyester is already built into every roll; you do not need to set it up separately in your file. It makes sense for jersey sets, teamwear and polyester orders that come back regularly. You can combine logos, numbers and sponsor designs on one roll for this.
What your file should look like
With express, we do not check your files with the Pro File Check, so your file must reach us ready for printing.
- 600 mm wide, with a length of 100 to 3000 mm
- CMYK and ideally 300 dpi, recommended profile ISO Coated v2 (ECI)
- Transparent background, do not set up the roll mirrored
- No line thinner than 0.4 mm
- Arrange several designs side by side so that no space is wasted on the roll
You can use ordinary colour gradients within a design. We advise against gradients that fade out into transparency, because every trace of colour is backed with white.
Ordering and uploading files
Upload your single-page PDF or PNG files; up to 500 MB is allowed per file. The length is read from your file. Drag and drop further files, enter the quantity for each and then add the fully configured selection to your basket. Multi-page PDFs are reported as a file error. If something is wrong with a file, we will contact you by email, and you send the corrected print file by email. You will find details on temperature, pressing time and pressure in the heat press settings.
Cut-off times (German time): We need your payment and error-free print files by 11:00 at the latest, so that everything runs without delay. For orders up to 10 metres, 14:00 is the file cut-off. If faulty files arrive or your payment is late or incomplete, dispatch is delayed. Your parcel only leaves us on schedule if payment and print files are with us in time and free of errors.
