Order DTF transfers for cotton and blends
High-quality DTF transfer printing in A4, A3 and by the metre, from a single piece, with no minimum order value and attractive tiered prices. Standard production within 1 to 3 working days.
Printed in CMYK with opaque white on premium film, washable at 30 degrees and durable for at least 60 washes. Suitable for cotton and blends with at least 70 per cent cotton.
With DTF transfers, you can finish textiles for your customers quickly, with strong colours and without your own print production. We print your design in full colour (CMYK) onto a transfer film and back it with opaque white, which also serves as the adhesive surface. You receive the finished transfer and apply it to the textile with your heat press.
Standard DTF is suitable for cotton and cotton blends with at least 70% cotton. You can choose between A4, A3, a half metre, film by the metre and pre-cut CUT DTF transfers. You can order all products from a single piece. For larger order quantities, our tiered prices apply, so the unit price automatically goes down as the run increases.

DTF Transfer - Single Design
DTF transfer as a single design in any quantity You upload a single design and decide how often it should be printed. The sheet builder automatically works out where the individual copies sit on the sheet. Print width and sheet length are therefore not something you need to think about. You pay per square metre, calculated from the area of one design multiplied by the quantity ordered. Delivery is as one continuous sheet. The copies of your design sit side by side on one roll; nothing is cut individually. You upload one design and choose any quantity Charged per square metre of design area Supplied as one continuous sheet High-resolution four-colour print with opaque white Available from a single piece, no minimum order value Suitable for 100 per cent cotton and for blends with at least 70 per cent cotton File format PDF or PNG How to set up the print files for your single design Your design goes into the file with a transparent background and at its actual size, without bleed. The sheet builder takes care of arranging and duplicating, so you do not need to prepare that yourself. If possible, set up the file at 300 dpi in the CMYK colour space. We recommend ISO Coated v2 (ECI) as the colour profile. Use lines at least 0.4 mm thick, and do not mirror the design. You can use normal colour gradients within an image or design. However, gradients that fade out into transparency are not recommended, because every trace of colour is backed with white. Ordering your single design step by step First, choose whether to add the optional Pro File Check. Then upload your single-page PDF or PNG and enter the quantity you need. The total area, and therefore the price, is based on the design area and quantity. Then add your selection to the basket. A file may be no larger than 500 MB. Multi-page PDFs are reported as a file error. If there is a problem with your file, you will receive an email and can send the corrected print file by email. The temperature, pressing time and pressure you need are listed in the current heat press settings.
DTF Transfer - Custom Length
DTF transfer in a custom length You decide on the length yourself: from 10 centimetres to 3 metres in one piece, with a roll width of 600 mm. You are charged for exactly the size you set up; nothing is rounded up to full metres. A short repeat run therefore only costs the centimetres you actually need. You can place several designs side by side across the full roll width and make full use of the roll. Any length between 10 cm and 3 m Roll width 600 mm Charged for the length actually set up, no rounding up High-resolution four-colour print with opaque white Available from a single piece, no minimum order value Suitable for 100 per cent cotton and for cotton blends with at least 70 per cent cotton File format PDF or PNG How to set up the print files for your custom length Your file is 600 mm wide and exactly as long as you want to order, i.e. a value between 100 and 3000 mm. Place the individual designs side by side to save space so that as little of the roll as possible is left unused. If possible, set up the file at 300 dpi in the CMYK colour space. We recommend ISO Coated v2 (ECI) as the colour profile. Work with a transparent background, make lines at least 0.4 mm thick and do not mirror the roll. Normal colour gradients within an image or design are no problem. We advise against gradients that fade out into transparency, because every trace of colour is backed with white. How your custom length gets into the basket First, choose whether to add the optional Pro File Check. Then upload your PDF or PNG files, each as a single page. The length is read from your file. You can add further files by drag and drop and enter how many of each you need. Once everything is set up, add your selection to the basket. A file may be no larger than 500 MB. Multi-page PDFs are reported as a file error. If there is a problem with a file, we will send you an email. You can then send us the corrected print file by email. The temperature, pressing time and pressure to set are listed in the current heat press settings.

DTF Transfer - BY THE METRE 600 x 1000 mm
DTF transfer by the metre, 600 x 1000 mm A metre of DTF transfer with a 600 mm roll width is the cost-effective format for runs, large designs and mixed gang sheets. You can fit several designs close together in one file and receive the gang sheet as one continuous length. As your order quantity grows, the tiered prices shown apply and the unit price falls. High-resolution four-colour print with an opaque white layer Available from a single piece, no minimum order value Suitable for 100 per cent cotton and for blends with at least 70 per cent cotton PDF or PNG, set up at exactly 600 x 1000 mm Working file and print files for the roll The prepared file for 600 x 1000 mm is ready for you in the Template tab. The guide layers help you position your designs and must be removed before exporting. You can also build your gang sheet directly in the DTF Designer instead. Set up the file at 300 dpi in the CMYK colour space if possible. We recommend ISO Coated v2 (ECI) as the colour profile. The background should be transparent, lines need to be at least 0.4 mm thick, and the roll must not be mirrored. You can use normal colour gradients within an image or design. We advise against gradients that fade out into transparency, because every trace of colour is backed with white. Step by step to your order First, decide whether you want to add the optional Pro File Check. Then upload your PDF or PNG files, each as a single page. You can add more files by drag and drop and enter how often each one should be printed. Once everything is set up, add your selection to the basket. A file may be no larger than 500 MB. Multi-page PDFs are reported as a file error. If something is wrong with a file, we will contact you by email, and you can send the corrected print file the same way. The temperature, pressing time and pressure to use are listed in the current heat press settings.

DTF Transfer - 600 x 500 mm
DTF transfer as a half metre, 600 x 500 mm The half metre uses the full print width of 600 mm at a length of 500 mm. This gives you more space than A3 without having to take a complete metre straight away. This size makes sense whenever you need several back prints, mixed logos or small runs for workwear, clubs and events. High-resolution DTF print in CMYK plus white From a single piece, with tiered prices For 100 per cent cotton and cotton blends with at least 70 per cent cotton Full roll width for a flexible design layout Upload as a single-page PDF or PNG Template for the half metre Use the file in the Template tab or build your sheet in the DTF Designer. The required final size is 600 x 500 mm. Remove the guide layers before exporting. If possible, create your designs at 300 dpi, work with the ISO Coated v2 (ECI) profile, make backgrounds transparent and keep individual elements at least 0.4 mm thick. Send the file unmirrored. Gradients within closed areas can be printed. It is better to avoid gradients that fade into transparency, because a white underbase is created wherever there is still colour information. How to put together your half metre Decide whether the Pro File Check should be included before you upload. Then add your single-page PDF or PNG files by drag and drop. Enter the quantity you want for each file and then send the finished configuration to your basket. The price tier depends on the quantity ordered. Each file may be up to 500 MB. Multi-page PDFs generate an error message. We will then contact you, and you can send us the corrected file by email. For further processing, please follow the linked heat press settings.

DTF Transfer - A3 (297 x 420 mm)
DTF transfer in A3, 297 x 420 mm A DTF transfer in A3 gives you room for a larger back or front print, several chest logos or a combination of different design sizes. It works well for smaller B2B orders, repeat runs and personalised textiles, because A3 sits right between A4 and film by the metre. As your quantity increases, the tiered pricing applies automatically and the unit price goes down. No trimming: The sheet is not trimmed to A3 format. Four-colour print with an opaque white layer Production from a single sheet For 100 per cent cotton and cotton blends with at least 70 per cent cotton Single-page PDF or PNG file Working file for A3 Create your gang sheet at the final size of 297 x 420 mm or use the file in the Template tab. We will not adapt the sheet to A3 format later, either by trimming or by scaling. For clean edges, it is best to set up your file at 300 dpi, work in CMYK with ISO Coated v2 (ECI), remove the background and keep lines at least 0.4 mm thick. Delete any guide layers before saving. Please do not mirror the file. Normal image and colour gradients are possible. If semi-transparent transitions extend into a completely invisible area, the white underbase may display them differently from what you see on screen. How to order several A3 files If you like, first add the Pro File Check and then upload your print-ready single pages as PDF or PNG. In the multi-upload, each file gets its own quantity. Check the assignment once more and then add the order to your basket. Uploads are limited to 500 MB per file. Multi-page PDF files are not processed. If there is a problem with the files, we will contact you by email and you can send us the correct print file by email as well. You will find notes on pressing in the heat press settings.

DTF Transfer - A4 (210 x 297 mm)
DTF transfer in A4, 210 x 297 mm A4 is ideal for individual chest logos, small lettering, sample prints or several compact designs on one sheet. A sheet makes sense when you want to test or top up a customer order and a half or full metre is not yet worthwhile. For larger quantities, we also charge this sheet format according to the tiered prices shown. No trimming: The sheet is not trimmed to A4 format. CMYK and white in DTF printing Available from a single sheet For textiles made of 100 per cent cotton and for blends with at least 70 per cent cotton Suitable for light and dark fabrics Single-page file in PDF or PNG format Template and set-up of your A4 file The gang sheet must measure exactly 210 x 297 mm. We do not trim anything to A4 and do not scale your file. You will find a ready-made working file in the Template tab. Remove all guide layers in it before exporting. For a sharp print, we recommend 300 dpi, a transparent background, CMYK with ISO Coated v2 (ECI) and elements of at least 0.4 mm. Upload the file unmirrored. Colour gradients can be printed within a closed design area. However, if a gradient fades out into full transparency, this will not work, because the remaining colour pixels are backed with white. How to order your A4 transfer If you are unsure, add the Pro File Check first. Then drag your single-page PDF or PNG files into the upload field, one at a time or several at once. Enter the quantity you need for each file and add the selection to your basket. Which of the visible tiered prices applies depends on the quantity ordered. A maximum of 500 MB per file is possible. A multi-page PDF triggers a file error. We will then contact you by email, and you can send us the corrected single page by email as well. You will find the right values for pressing under heat press settings.

CUT DTF Transfer - BY THE METRE 560 x 1000 mm
CUT DTF transfer by the metre, 560 x 1000 mm CUT DTF is suitable for recurring designs that you want to process particularly quickly. You receive the individual transfers pre-cut along your contour. There is no cutting work on the gang sheet for you, all designs come out the same size, and this makes positioning on the textile easier. Tiered prices keep even a larger B2B run predictable. 560 x 1000 mm area filled with contour-cut DTF designs Four-colour print with an opaque white layer Suitable for textiles made of 100 per cent cotton and blends with at least 70 per cent cotton Order from a single piece Files supplied as a print-ready PDF with cut paths Use the template and create a CutContour The working file for 560 x 1000 mm is ready for you in the Template tab. Each design needs its own closed cut line in the file, at least 1 pt thick. Set it up as a spot colour and name it exactly CutContour. Keep at least 5 mm of space in each case, from one cut line to the next as well as from the cut path to the printed design. You will find an illustrated guide under Creating a CutContour. Print elements should be at least 0.4 mm thick. Set up in CMYK with the ISO Coated v2 (ECI) profile, keep the background transparent, and send us the PDF unmirrored. How to order CUT film by the metre You can add the Pro File Check if needed; you then upload a print-ready, single-page PDF. Drag and drop several files and enter the matching quantity for each. Finally, check all quantities once more and only then add the CUT film by the metre to your basket. The size limit is 500 MB per file. A multi-page PDF is rejected with a file error. You will be informed by email, and you then send the corrected single page by email as well. For pressing, use the current heat press settings.

DTF Transfer EXPRESS - Custom Length
Express DTF transfer in a custom length The custom length comes as a continuous transfer roll with a 600 mm roll width. You decide how long your roll will be; anything between 10 centimetres and 3 metres in one piece is possible. We invoice exactly the size you set up, and nothing is rounded up to full metres. If you only need a short piece for a repeat run, you only pay for the centimetres of that run. With express, your order moves up the print queue, which helps you with tight deadlines. EXPRESS PRODUCTION! Please also select express shipping in the basket! The roll only goes out on the same day if express shipping is selected and the cut-off time is met. Print-ready files are a must There is no Pro File Check in express production, so your file must reach us completely print-ready. Single-page files as PDF or PNG are allowed, each up to a maximum of 500 MB. If a PDF has several pages, it is reported as a file error. If we notice something in a file, we will contact you by email, and you can send the corrected print file by email. How to build your roll The document is 600 mm wide; for the length, enter the size you want to order, i.e. 100 to 3000 mm. Place several designs close together so that the roll is used efficiently. If possible, work at 300 dpi in CMYK; for the colour profile, we recommend ISO Coated v2 (ECI). The background should be transparent, no line should be thinner than 0.4 mm, and the gang sheet must not be mirrored. Normal colour gradients within an image or design are fine. We advise against gradients that fade out into transparency, because every trace of colour is backed with white. How to order Upload your single-page PDF or PNG files; the length is read directly from the file. Drag and drop additional files and enter the matching quantity for each. Once everything is set up, add the finished configuration to your basket. You will find the current values for temperature, pressing time and pressure in the heat press settings. At a glance Any length between 10 cm and 3 m Roll width 600 mm Charged by the actual size, no rounding up High-resolution four-colour print with opaque white From a single piece, no minimum order value Suitable for 100 per cent cotton and for cotton blends with at least 70 per cent cotton PDF or PNG as the file format Cut-off times (German time): Payment and error-free print files must have reached us by 11:00 at the latest so that processing runs without delay. If your order is up to 10 metres, the file cut-off moves to 14:00. Faulty files and payments that arrive late or incomplete may delay dispatch. Your parcel only goes out on time if payment and print files are with us in time and free of errors.

DTF Designer
DTF Transfer Designer In the Designer, you build your own gang sheet: upload graphics, arrange them, enter dimensions, order. You do not need graphics software; everything happens in your browser. From the delivered sheet, you cut out each design individually and press it on. Please note: Orders placed via the Designer cannot be cancelled or claimed under a complaint, as the Designer software points out errors and problems. No Pro File Check is carried out for Designer orders. There is NO express option for Designer orders. Features in the Designer Upload graphics as PNG, JPEG, JPG, GIF or PDF Remove white backgrounds with one click Copy, rotate, align and evenly distribute designs An orange or red triangle warns you if the resolution is too low for the size Add text and apply filters to an image Keep track of how full the sheet is and the price Add the finished sheet to your basket Material and durability We print even a single piece High-resolution digital print in four colours plus white Durable, at least 60 washes For pure cotton, and for blends with at least 70 per cent cotton IMPORTANT: Neither the Designer nor we carry out design work or improvements. Sample Pack - All in One
Sample Pack All in One: test DTF, UV DTF and sublimation before you order How a print feels, how sharp its edges are and how well it covers only becomes clear on the finished print, not on screen. That is why the Sample Pack contains test prints of our products and other prints, so you can feel the differences for yourself before you place your first larger order. These samples are included Test print with DTF standard adhesive Test print with DTF Blockout adhesive Mini colour chart as a sample UV DTF standard print as a sample UV DTF print in matt as a sample UV DTF print in transparent as a sample Sublimation print as a sample Standard and Blockout in direct comparison For cotton and cotton blends, the DTF standard adhesive is intended. The Blockout adhesive was developed for dyed polyester textiles and holds back dyes that could otherwise migrate into light areas of the design under the heat of the press. The surest way to tell which adhesive suits which textile is to lay both samples side by side and feel them yourself. You will find the details under DTF transfers. UV DTF in three finishes The pack contains three versions of UV DTF: Standard is opaque and glossy, Matt has a more understated surface, and Transparent has no white print, so the surface shows through the design. The quickest way to find out which one suits your material is to place the samples on the surface you want to decorate, i.e. on the glass, metal or plastic. More details under UV DTF transfers. How to go about testing First, go through the samples by hand and pay attention to how they feel and how the edges look. In the second step, press one of them with your own press onto a textile that you sell yourself. The test piece then goes in the wash, following the care instructions of the textile and ideally over several cycles, so that you can judge colour fastness and edges after washing too. You will find everything about application in the FAQ. Always do the test on an offcut and never on a finished item from a customer order.
DTF Colour Chart CMYK with 964 Colours
Colour-accurate printing instead of guessing on screen Your screen glows, a printed textile does not. A monitor mixes colour from light, whereas a DTF transfer mixes it from pigment that sits on the fabric. That is exactly why a shade on the shirt almost always looks different from how it looked on the computer. What you get here is therefore not a screen sample or a paper sample, but a real printed DTF transfer. The set consists of 10 colour charts in A3 format. Spread across these charts are 964 colour swatches, each labelled with its CMYK value underneath. This means colour matching happens before production, including any adjustments, rather than as a correction after the first proof. How to get from the colour swatch to your print file On the pressed chart, pick out the swatch that matches the shade you want, note the CMYK value underneath and enter it in your print file. Set up the file in the CMYK colour space with ISO Coated v2 (ECI) as the colour profile, as this is our standard for DTF transfers. That way, the result is clear before your first file even reaches us, and a repeat order ends up in the same shade as the first one. You will find everything about setting up files in the FAQ. Press the charts onto black textiles Judge the shade on the pressed print, not on screen Note the CMYK value on the swatch Enter this value in your own file Keep the chart for later approvals and repeat orders Why the background should be black Please always press the colour charts onto black textiles so that you get the best colour perception. Every DTF transfer has a white base layer that separates the design from the fabric. Against a black background, the opacity shows in full and the colour impression stays true, because no light fabric shows through and lifts the shade. We explain how the individual layers are built up under DTF transfers. Who benefits from the set The chart helps wherever a shade has to be fixed reliably: for company and club colours, for runs that are reordered again and again over months, and for customers who expect to approve the colours before printing. Instead of a vague description, you then have a colour swatch with a clear CMYK value on the table. You will receive 10 colour charts in A3, printed as DTF transfers. Colour charts are excluded from complaints. This does not apply to defective colour charts.
Pro File Check
2 correction rounds The Pro File Check does not include any design work. The file check does not apply to Designer products and express products. The Pro File Check cannot be ordered on its own, i.e. without the associated product order, because we would then have no file to check. If an order contains only the file check, we therefore have no choice but to cancel it. If you would like to add the check afterwards, this must be agreed with our support team. Not sure whether your uploaded files are set up correctly? Or would you simply like us to check them again? No problem. The Pro File Check is exactly what you need! If we find something in your files that is not right, they will not go to print as they are. Instead, we will contact you and tell you what needs to be adjusted. What we check: Format: Are your files set up in the format you ordered? Colour: Are your files set up in CMYK? Is the correct colour profile embedded? Is the main transparency set up correctly? In other words, we check that the gang sheet is not completely covered by an area of colour. This only refers to the main transparency of the sheet, not the transparencies within the graphics, because we cannot judge whether they are intended If your files do not meet our requirements, the production and delivery time of your DTF transfers may be extended or postponed by the time it takes for the new files to arrive.
Typical customer orders
Product examples for DTF transfer printing
The examples show commercial applications. Material, coating and heat resistance must always be checked on the specific item before a run.
- Suitable for cotton and cotton blends with at least 70% cotton.
- Opaque white and strong colours on light and dark textiles.
- From a single piece, with no minimum order value and lower unit prices for larger quantities.

Printing T-shirts
The cotton classic. Large front designs with fine colour gradients sit cleanly and stay vibrant after washing.

Printing hoodies
Heavy fabric, lots of space. On dark hoodies, the colours pop because the print is opaque.

Printing jackets
Jackets must have a smooth, flat and heat-resistant print area. Coatings, impregnations, seams, pockets and zips can affect adhesion or pressing pressure. Check the material and care label before finishing. For polyester, Blockout DTF may be required.

Printing caps
Caps need a suitable, preferably flat print area and often a cap press. Seams and curved areas must not cause uneven pressure. Material and coating must be suitable for the required pressing temperature.

Printing polo shirts
Polo shirts made of cotton or suitable cotton blends can be finished with Standard DTF. With coarse piqué or a heavily textured surface, the pressing pressure can be uneven. Therefore, test the specific polo with a test press before a run.

Printing shirts
For teams and service staff. Small logos on the chest pocket or sleeve look clean and stay sharp even after many washes.

Printing tote bags
Cotton bags as promotional items. The design can take up the whole surface, and the colours are opaque even on natural fabric.

Printing sports bags
With sports bags, first check material, coating and heat resistance. Many models are made of polyester or coated fabric and are therefore not automatically suitable for Standard DTF. For suitable polyester fabrics, Blockout DTF may be the better solution.

Printing sports shorts
Sports shorts and training shorts are often made of polyester. So check before ordering whether Blockout DTF is needed. Seams, pockets and elastic areas must not lie under the actual pressing area.

Printing hi-vis vests
Hi-vis vests and certified high-visibility clothing may only be decorated in the areas approved by the manufacturer. Reflective strips must neither be covered nor damaged by the heat of the press. A print can change the available fluorescent area and therefore the visibility class. Therefore, check with the garment manufacturer before finishing whether the specific model may be printed and retains its certification.

Printing workwear
Normal workwear made of suitable cotton or cotton blends can be finished with Standard DTF. For polyester, softshell, coatings or protective functions, the specific garment must be checked separately. The washability of the transfer at 30 °C is not automatically equivalent to industrial laundering or a disinfecting wash process.

Printing clubwear
From jersey sets to leavers’ shirts. From a single piece and significantly cheaper as soon as you order larger quantities together.
Advice before you order
Everything you need to know about DTF transfers
Find out which DTF transfer and which format suit your order. You will also learn how to prepare your print files, order and apply the finished transfers correctly.
What is DTF transfer printing?
DTF stands for Direct to Film. Your design is first printed in mirror image onto a special transfer film, given a white opaque layer and hot-melt adhesive, and then prepared for application. You receive a finished transfer that you apply to a suitable textile with a heat press. Because white is printed as well, colours remain visible even on dark textiles.
When is DTF transfer suitable?
The process is suitable for commercial one-offs, personalised customer orders and runs. Typical applications are corporate wear, merch, clubwear, school and leavers’ shirts, cotton bags and promotional and event clothing. For polyester, softshell or heavily dyed performance fabrics, Blockout DTF may be required. Coated or water-repellent items must be checked separately.
Which DTF transfer suits your order?
Choose the transfer type first according to textile, design and the intended processing. The table distinguishes Standard DTF, CUT DTF and Blockout before you choose the specific format.
| Version | Suitable for | Important note |
|---|---|---|
| Standard DTF | Cotton and cotton blends with at least 70% cotton | The design is cut out of the gang sheet before pressing. |
| CUT DTF | Recurring designs and particularly fast processing | The designs are pre-cut precisely to contour and can be removed individually at a consistent size. You do not have to cut the gang sheet apart yourself and can position the designs on the textile more easily. For this, the print file needs a correctly set up CutContour. |
| Blockout DTF | Dyed polyester and textiles at risk of dye migration | A test press on the same item is recommended before the run. |
| DTF Express | Short-notice orders and repeat runs | Order, payment and print-ready files must be received within the cut-off time. |
Which format is suitable for what?
Choose the sheet size according to design format, required quantity and planned processing. A4 and A3 are suitable for tests and single designs, while half metres and film by the metre offer more space for runs.
| Format | Suitable for | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| A4, 210 x 297 mm | Small designs and one-offs | Chest logos, names, test prints and small repeat orders |
| A3, 297 x 420 mm | Larger designs | Back prints or several smaller designs |
| Half metre, 600 × 500 mm | Medium coverage | Mixed design sizes and smaller runs |
| By the metre, 600 × 1000 mm | Runs and larger orders | Space-saving gang sheets for many designs |
| Custom length, 600 mm wide | Larger runs and recurring orders | Any length from 10 cm to 3 m in one piece |
| Single design, up to 600 mm wide | One design in any quantity | Logos and names in series without your own gang sheet, charged by design area |
| CUT DTF, 560 x 1000 mm | Pre-cut designs | Quick removal and processing without manual trimming |
No trimming: A4 and A3 are not supplied as ready-trimmed individual sheets. Therefore, set up your print file at exactly 210 x 297 mm or 297 x 420 mm. We do not scale to the ordered format afterwards.
Setting up print files correctly
- Upload your print file as a PDF or PNG at the ordered size.
- Create designs at 300 dpi if possible so that edges and fonts print cleanly.
- Make the background transparent. Anything that is not transparent will be printed.
- Do not mirror your file. The production process takes care of that.
- Set up colours in the CMYK colour space. We recommend ISO Coated v2 (ECI) as the colour profile.
- Create lines at least 0.4 mm thick. Thinner lines offer too little surface for the adhesive, may not press cleanly, and their durability cannot be guaranteed.
- Check the spacing between designs and any unintended semi-transparent elements before uploading.
If you do not have a finished gang sheet, you can put your designs together in the DTF Designer instead. If you are unsure about your file, choose the Pro File Check directly on the product where it is available.
Colour gradients and transparency: Normal colour gradients within an image or design are no problem in DTF printing. Gradients that fade out into transparency are not recommended. Every trace of colour is backed with white. A soft transition into a fully transparent area therefore cannot be reproduced as it looks on screen.
Print files for CUT DTF: If you order pre-cut DTF designs, each design needs its own closed cut path. Set this up as a spot colour line at least 1 pt thick and name the spot colour exactly CutContour. At least 5 mm must remain free between two cut paths and between the path and the actual design.
We explain how to build a complete gang sheet in the article Creating gang sheets for real Kings!. You will find separate instructions for the cut path under Creating a CutContour.
Standard production or DTF Express?
With standard production, your DTF transfers are produced within 1 to 3 working days. If your customer order is particularly urgent, choose the matching DTF Express product. If your order, payment and error-free print files have all arrived by 11:00 (German time), your express order is produced on the same working day and, with express shipping, dispatched the same day. For orders of up to 10 metres in total, files are even accepted until 14:00.
For particularly fast delivery, also select express shipping with DHL or UPS during checkout. In our experience, around 95 per cent of these shipments reach our customers on the following working day. The actual transit time is up to the shipping carrier and can be affected by weekends or public holidays.
Alternatively, you can collect your finished order from us. We will let you know as soon as your order is ready for collection.
How to order your DTF transfers
- Choose the right transfer type and the format you need.
- Set up your designs as a finished gang sheet or use the DTF Designer.
- Upload your PDF or PNG files on the product page. You can select several print files at once or drag them together into the upload field. This multi-upload is also known as bulk upload.
- After uploading, all files are listed individually. Enter separately for each file how many times it should be printed. You can remove files you do not need before ordering.
- Check the tiered prices shown and, if needed, choose the Pro File Check on a product where it is available.
- Add the configured print files to the basket together using the ‘Add to basket’ button. There you check products, quantities, shipping method and order total. You can then add further products.
- Complete your order and payment. After production and dispatch, you receive the finished transfers for your own processing.
Important for uploading: Use one single-page PDF or one PNG file per print file. A multi-page PDF triggers a file error. You will then receive an email and can replace the file with a corrected one by email or via WeTransfer, always quoting your order number. A single file may be no larger than 500 MB.
Applying DTF transfers correctly
Before pressing, check the prints, the care label and the heat resistance of the textile. A test press is recommended for new items. Lay the textile flat on the heat press and make sure the pressing area is even and free of seams, buttons or zips.
For our Standard DTF transfers, the reference values are 130 to 140 degrees, a pressing time of 12 to 15 seconds and medium pressure of around 3 bar. You can peel off the carrier film hot or cold. When the press opens, count briefly to three and then peel the film off quickly and flat.
Heat presses can have different tolerances in temperature and pressure. So check the first result before processing a complete run. If the transfer does not adhere properly, check the material, temperature, pressing time and pressure. You will find the complete and current values in our heat press settings for DTF transfers.
If something does not work
Stop processing and contact our customer service with your order number, photos, material details and the heat press settings used. We will try to support you specifically, narrow down the possible cause together with you and help you with further processing.
How the process works technically, from printing the white layer to pressing, is explained under What is DTF?
Production for business customers
DTF transfers for garment decorators, print shops and resellers
DTF-King produces DTF transfer printing for business customers who process textiles in their own business. These include garment decorators, print shops, advertising agencies, merch providers, fashion labels and companies with a regular need for corporate or clubwear. You outsource the actual DTF printing and concentrate on advice, design, sales and pressing the finished transfers.
You can order DTF transfers from a single piece and with no minimum order value, so even personalised one-off orders are economical. For larger order quantities, the unit price falls thanks to the tiered prices. A4 and A3 are suitable for small orders and top-ups. DTF film by the metre offers more space for runs, recurring logos and designs of different sizes. For particularly fast workflows, pre-cut CUT DTF transfers and matching express products are available.
With the Sample Pack, DTF colour chart, print templates, DTF Designer and personal customer service, you can check material, colours and production workflow better before larger customer orders.
