UV DTF Transfer TRANSPARENT EXPRESS - Custom Length
€18.50 per linear metre
Available, delivery time: 1-2 working days
A single gang sheet can be up to 3 m long. Please split longer designs - the linear metres of all your files count together for the volume price anyway.
Colour-accurate printing instead of guessing on screen
Your screen glows, a printed textile does not. A monitor mixes colour from light, whereas a DTF transfer mixes it from pigment that sits on the fabric. That is exactly why a shade on the shirt almost always looks different from how it looked on the computer. What you get here is therefore not a screen sample or a paper sample, but a real printed DTF transfer.
The set consists of 10 colour charts in A3 format. Spread across these charts are 964 colour swatches, each labelled with its CMYK value underneath. This means colour matching happens before production, including any adjustments, rather than as a correction after the first proof.
How to get from the colour swatch to your print file
On the pressed chart, pick out the swatch that matches the shade you want, note the CMYK value underneath and enter it in your print file. Set up the file in the CMYK colour space with ISO Coated v2 (ECI) as the colour profile, as this is our standard for DTF transfers. That way, the result is clear before your first file even reaches us, and a repeat order ends up in the same shade as the first one. You will find everything about setting up files in the FAQ.
- Press the charts onto black textiles
- Judge the shade on the pressed print, not on screen
- Note the CMYK value on the swatch
- Enter this value in your own file
- Keep the chart for later approvals and repeat orders
Why the background should be black
Please always press the colour charts onto black textiles so that you get the best colour perception. Every DTF transfer has a white base layer that separates the design from the fabric. Against a black background, the opacity shows in full and the colour impression stays true, because no light fabric shows through and lifts the shade. We explain how the individual layers are built up under DTF transfers.
Who benefits from the set
The chart helps wherever a shade has to be fixed reliably: for company and club colours, for runs that are reordered again and again over months, and for customers who expect to approve the colours before printing. Instead of a vague description, you then have a colour swatch with a clear CMYK value on the table.
You will receive 10 colour charts in A3, printed as DTF transfers.
Colour charts are excluded from complaints. This does not apply to defective colour charts.
Sample Pack All in One: test DTF, UV DTF and sublimation before you order
How a print feels, how sharp its edges are and how well it covers only becomes clear on the finished print, not on screen. That is why the Sample Pack contains test prints of our products and other prints, so you can feel the differences for yourself before you place your first larger order.
These samples are included
- Test print with DTF standard adhesive
- Test print with DTF Blockout adhesive
- Mini colour chart as a sample
- UV DTF standard print as a sample
- UV DTF print in matt as a sample
- UV DTF print in transparent as a sample
- Sublimation print as a sample
Standard and Blockout in direct comparison
For cotton and cotton blends, the DTF standard adhesive is intended. The Blockout adhesive was developed for dyed polyester textiles and holds back dyes that could otherwise migrate into light areas of the design under the heat of the press. The surest way to tell which adhesive suits which textile is to lay both samples side by side and feel them yourself. You will find the details under DTF transfers.
UV DTF in three finishes
The pack contains three versions of UV DTF: Standard is opaque and glossy, Matt has a more understated surface, and Transparent has no white print, so the surface shows through the design. The quickest way to find out which one suits your material is to place the samples on the surface you want to decorate, i.e. on the glass, metal or plastic. More details under UV DTF transfers.
How to go about testing
First, go through the samples by hand and pay attention to how they feel and how the edges look. In the second step, press one of them with your own press onto a textile that you sell yourself. The test piece then goes in the wash, following the care instructions of the textile and ideally over several cycles, so that you can judge colour fastness and edges after washing too. You will find everything about application in the FAQ.
Always do the test on an offcut and never on a finished item from a customer order.
Product information "UV DTF Transfer TRANSPARENT EXPRESS - Custom Length"
Transparent UV DTF rub-on stickers, express custom length
The custom length is a continuous roll with a 560 mm print width, and you set its length yourself: from 10 centimetres to 3 metres in one piece. You pay for exactly the length you set up; there is no rounding up to full metres. It is printed in CMYK with a protective varnish on top; there is no white base. As an express version, your roll moves forward in production.
EXPRESS PRODUCTION! Please also select express shipping in the basket. Same-day dispatch only takes place if express shipping has been booked and the cut-off time has been met.
Supply the roll print-ready
With express, there is no Pro File Check, so your roll must reach us fully built. Go through these points one by one before uploading:
- a single-page PDF or PNG file; multi-page PDFs are rejected with a file error
- 560 mm wide and exactly the length of roll you want to order, between 100 and 3000 mm
- ideally 300 dpi and CMYK
- details of at least 0.4 mm
- transparent background if it should not be printed
- set up unmirrored
- about 10 mm of space between individual designs
- no more than 500 MB per file
You will find notes on the transparent version and suitable surfaces in the overview.
Why the roll stays transparent without white
Because there is no white layer beneath the colours, the surface remains visible, and it is exactly this translucent effect that is intended. This is ideal for glass labels, logos on windows and light-coloured product surfaces. The protective varnish protects the surface. Nothing is plotter cut or weeded. You place company logos, product labels and designs for promotional items close together on the roll; you can order a single piece, and there is no minimum order value.
From upload to basket
Using the multi-upload, upload several single PDF or PNG pages one after another and enter a separate quantity for each roll. The length is read from your file. Once you have checked everything, add the entire selection to the basket in one go.
If a roll is rejected because of a file error, we will contact you by email, and you can send the corrected print file by email.
Cut-off times (German time): For everything to run smoothly, your payment and the error-free print files must be with us by 11:00 at the latest. If your order covers no more than 10 metres, we still accept print files until 14:00. Faulty files and payments that arrive late or incomplete may delay dispatch. So your parcel only goes out on time if payment and print files are with us punctually and free of errors.
