Background
We see a white background that cannot be hidden.
Our tip: Change your Photoshop/Illustrator settings. The error usually occurs when saving, e.g. in Photoshop, untick or tick ‘Preserve Photoshop Editing Capabilities’.
(I can only speak for Adobe programs here, as they are the only ones we use.)
Background behind individual designs
In the preview, you can see white boxes behind individual designs that enclose the design exactly.
Our tip: Check the file you are exporting from. Are they PNGs or JPEGs? (A JPEG always has a background.) Were they imported correctly? Are the files embedded? Check everything and you can avoid this.
Overlapping designs
Designs that are set up overlapping will also be printed that way. If we notice it, we are happy to let you know, but that is not always possible and cannot be taken for granted.
Our tip: Place a coloured background that you delete before saving, or check everything in outline view (Ctrl + Y / Cmd + Y).
File size
Above a certain size, files are too large for our printers and slow down the workflow. Try to keep your files as small as possible.
Our tip: Right after saving, check whether the file already takes an unusually long time to open; if it does, it is most likely not suitable for the printer.
Frame with free size
The design is smaller than the file. There is a transparent ‘frame’ that distorts the scaling.
Our tip: Check your files for exactly this frame. When imported into other files, for example, it shows up as a box.
General notes
As we work exclusively with Adobe programs, we can only help you with these programs. For other programs, I recommend searching for your problem online, as unfortunately we do not know every program, let alone own them.
Of course, we are happy to help you by email and phone as best we can.
In principle, anyone who wants to achieve good results should read our FAQ carefully, as you confirm it when you buy. When rejecting complaints, we refer to the FAQ and to your confirmation given by purchasing the items.
We also encourage everyone to check their files before submitting their order, because although we are happy to point out any errors we notice, we cannot always check everything.
